World Book Day

Thursday March 3rd was World Book Day. We went to Crannóg book shop with our world book day tokens, and we each got a book for free.
Here we are, back in class, reading our World Book Day books.

Arts and Science Project: Award Ceremony

On Monday February 29th we travelled by bus to the County Museum in Ballyjamesduff, to the award ceremony for our project 'Beautiful and Natural Things Live Here'.
We listened to a talk on wildlife by two scientists, Éanna Ní Lamhna and Heather B, who showed us all about native birds and animals. Later we had a chance to see the exhibition of our work. We saw our poem displayed on the wall in the exhibition area, and our artwork hung on a display tree. We saw our Field Work notebooks also on display.
We loved seeing our work as part of an exhibition. It was very exciting, and we enjoyed being part of the whole process. We were presented with an award, and a certificate each. The award will be on display in the St Clare's Trophy cabinet!!
