Art with Angelina

Angelina showed us all how to make beautiful paper flowers. She showed us how to fold and cut the sheet of paper, where to colour it, and how to fold it into a flower. Finally we made the stem and attached it to the flower head. We were delighted with our work. Thanks Angelina!

Sports Stars

Congratulations to Jemima, who ran on the St Clare's junior relay team in the County Cavan Schools Relay competition in Shercock last week. The team made it into the final, amidst stiff competition.
Congratulations also to Geraldine, who is on the St Clare's gaelic football team. The girls are training hard, and are winning lots of their games.
Keep it up girls!

Art Exhibition

On Wednesday 13th May we went to the Library to see the Landscape and Memory art exhibition. We saw paintings from lots of different countries. The artists posted their work over to Cavan for the exhibition. We each picked out our favourite painting, and Marilyn spoke to us about the paintings.

Be Active: PE sessions

We are an Active School in St.Clare's. We have started on a 5 week PE programme. Every class is doing a PE activity every day. We are teamed up with 3rd class room 20. We are working on a range of activities, including Cardiorespiratory, Speed and Agility, Muscular Endurance, and Fundamental Movement. We are having great fun, and being very active at the same time.

School Relay Team
